Adult Safeguarding Team Social Worker
Bridgend
up to £35 per hour
Bridgend Council are looking for an experienced Social Work Practitioner to assist the Safeguarding team to fulfil its statutory duties. This is ideally a full time contract Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week, and on site 3 days. Pay rate for this role is up to £35 per hour via umbrella company.
Expectations of the role: undertake Safeguarding enquiries in relation to adults at risk
Whilst someone with Safeguarding experience is preferred, an experienced Adult Social worker will also be considered as you will be assisting a very experienced and supportive team, and will have a Safeguarding Lead Co-ordinator who will have overall coordination of the enquiry. This could be an opportunity for someone to develop and enhance their skills. You will receive regular supervision, a manageable caseload and be working with practitioner’s who are passionate about a strength based, person centred approach to social work. Your main role will be to undertake Section 126 enquiries.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold -
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
