Fostering Social Worker

Swansea, South Wales

Locum opportunity - 6 months

Pay rate £38.43 per hour via umbrella company

A Qualified Social Worker is required ideally on a full time basis to join Swansea Social Services fostering service as a Supervising Social Worker. Part time applications will potentially be considered for condensed working weeks. The role offers hybrid working but you will be required to be in the office 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Pay rate for this position is up to £38.43 via an umbrella company in line with the ADSS pledge. Initial contract will run for a 6 month period. 

In this role you will be responsible for carrying a caseload of approximately 16 foster carers, and in addition you may be required to take on one form f assessment. You will be expected to visit foster carers and participate in duty rota as and when required.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing 
  • Driving license with access to a car
