up to £44.74 per hour Umbrella company
An Interim Team Manager is required to join Conwy Council for an initial 3 month contract within the Assessment and Support Team. The assignment is for 37HPW, Monday – Friday. There is an expectation that candidate live locally or within a commutable distance as the position is located in Conwy County, North Wales. The worker will work from the office – Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, Conwy. The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 weeks with potential to be extended. Pay rate is up to £44.74 with potential for increase in line with ADSS pledge, following consultation.
The suitable candidate will be expected to manage the Safeguarding and Legal Team covering the County Borough of Conwy, providing services to Children and Families in need of a Care and Support Plan and Children in Need of Protection in the local community. Quality assuring court reports and attending court/ PLO Meetings. They will be responsible for the oversight and governance of case management through the supervision and management of level 2 & 3 Social Workers; ensuring the production of quality assessments which identify need and outcome focussed care and support plans. In addition they will need to monitor supervisee’s performance and collate performance data to meet statutory duties, service evaluation and planning. In this role they will be expected to drive cases to meet the child’s needs promptly within the prescribed timescales and to ensure that children are properly protected and supported within the community and within the care system.
Skills and qualifications required:
• Social Work Qualified, minimum 3 years post qualified plus technology & software skills
• Registered with Social Care Wales
• Previous Team Management experience
