Form F assessor - Sessional
Cardiff
£2250 per assessment
Cardiff Social Services are looking to extend their pool of Form F assessors. This is a sessional role, and successful applicants will be allocated as and when prospective carers become available for assessing. You will be required to assess prospective Foster Carers for presentation to panel and their Fostering journey. Attendance at panel is required in person, to present the assessment with Panel being held on a Wednesday. You will need to be able to work under your own initiative but will receive supervision for the assessment and regular check ins with your supervisor. The will be a requirement to visit people in line with the assessment. This role is paid upon completion at £2250 per assessment plus mileage.
Timescales will be planned with an allocation meeting, mid point and final check in prior to submission. A supervisor will be available for reflection as required throughout on request. The safe guarding checks are completed by the local authority as opposed to the assessor. The assessor will complete the DBS and the LA will send this off. The LA will also apply for references. The assessor will send school checks if relevant to the assessment and also alert the LA of any new information for new persons that may be highlighted throughout the assessment.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold -
- Registered with Social Care Wales as a Qualified Social Worker
- 3 years experience as a registered social worker
- Previous fostering experience including completion of form fs
- Live within a 40 mile radius of Cardiff
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
