Qualified Social Worker Childrens Caerphilly

up to £30.50 PAYE / £38.43 umbrella company

Hoop Social Work are looking for 2 x candidates to start as soon as possible to join Caerphilly Childrens Services South team. You will need to work on hybrid basis of 2 days a week at home and 3 days office based, and you will need to be local to attend visits as and when required. Pay rate for this contract are in line with the All Wales pledge at £30.50 PAYE / £38.43 per hour umbrella company. The pay rate listed is the max pay rate available and is dependent upon experience.

Duties within this role include:

  • To provide high quality assessment and/or care management to children and families who have been assessed as requiring ongoing intervention.
  • To review intervention within statutory timescales ensuring plans for children are achieving the identified outcomes.
  • Demonstrate professional competence in social work practice.
  • To contribute to service development initiatives.
  • Ensure effective multidisciplinary working with partner agencies.
  • To represent the service at Court and/or Panel meetings.
  • Manage and be accountable, with supervision and support, for your own social work practice.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing 
  • Driving license with access to a car
