Full Job Description Hoop Education is looking for a full-time Secondary teacher to join our team for a January start. We are seeking someone passionate about teaching and inspiring students to learn and achieve. This position is based in our Newport location.
Responsibilities- Encourage students to use critical thinking skills to solve problems and develop their imagination
- Create a positive learning environment that fosters engagement, self-esteem, and self-efficacy
- Collaborate with parents and other teachers to build a learning community that meets the needs of each student
- Communicate effectively with parents and students via the iPad or phone app
- Develop an understanding of students’ cultural backgrounds
- Passion for teaching students from all backgrounds (e.g., English Language Arts, History, Literature, Science)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with parents, students, teachers, and administration
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong imagination and critical thinking skills
