Career Change Opportunity – Become a Teaching Assistant




Are you passionate about working with children and looking for a rewarding career change? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a minimum of 6 months experience from a variety of backgrounds,
including Children's Support Workers, Carers, Babysitters/Nannies and Sports Coaches to join our team as Teaching Assistants in local primary schools across Carmarthenshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to transfer your skills and experience into a fulfilling role, supporting young learners in the classroom and making a real difference in their education and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to classroom teachers in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assist with the learning and development of students, particularly those with additional needs
  • Support students in both individual and small group settings
  • Help with classroom management and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage students to engage and thrive in their learning
Ideal Candidates:

  • Have experience working with children in any capacity (support worker, carer, nanny, sports coach, or volunteer leader)
  • Are enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about supporting children's growth
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are adaptable and ready to embrace a new challenge in an educational setting
  • A background in sports, childcare, or group leadership is highly valued
