- Are you passionate about education and looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in a secondary school setting? We are seeking multiple Supply Cover Supervisors for Secondary Schools across Monmouthshire.
As a Supply Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of a teacher. This temporary position, managed by our agency, offers a flexible and rewarding opportunity to work in education.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain discipline and manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students.
- Supervise and support students in completing the work set by the absent teacher, providing guidance and clarification as needed.
- Ensure the smooth running of lessons, including taking the register, distributing and collecting materials, and ensuring the classroom is organized.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, and any issues that arise during the class.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging student engagement and participation.
- Be flexible and adaptable, as you may cover various subjects and year groups within the secondary school.
- Maintain open communication with school staff and agency representatives to report on your assignments and any concerns.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Adaptability and willingness to cover various subjects and year groups.
- Enthusiasm for working with secondary school students.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in education is an advantage.
- Enhanced Child DBS check, on the update service (or willingness to undergo one).
- Registered or be willing to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
