Job Summary / objective:
As the Senior Marketing Officer, you will be integral to the long-term success of the company, elevating our internal division social media presence and helping raise its external profile to enable business growth. You will drive the marketing strategies and initiatives of the company and be responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaigns and driving brand awareness and customer engagement. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of marketing principles, a proven track record of delivering results, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
It is essential as part of the operations team that there is the ability to assist in other areas including general administration, payroll and compliance as per the business need. We support each other and work both commercially and collaboratively to support the whole of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Marketing Management:
● Manage the daily running of all Hoop social media accounts (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and LinkedIn).
● Adhering to social media targets to drive growth, engagement and visibility and provide relevant analytics.
● Provide support within the Marketing team with ad-hoc tasks. ● Working alongside the HR and Office Manager to organise internal and external business
events, including internal merchandise design and ordering, aligned with company brand guidelines and divisional requirements.
● Website and internal intranet management. ● Ensure all transactions are input into the spend tracker and accounted for including sending
invoices to the HR and Office Manager. ● Creating an annual Marketing Business plan. ● Carry out podcast and video strategy for the business and drive its implementation with the
respective divisions. ● Developing engaging and accurate content for the business across all social media platforms. ● Managing the ordering and design of branded merchandise, providing the leadership team
with multiple options that align with their specific needs while adhering to company brand guidelines.
● Utilising advanced skills in Adobe (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro) Buffer, and Canva to enhance content across the organisation.
● Answering customer queries via direct message and webchat. ● Scheduling posts using Buffer. ● Manage postal campaigns for the business including the mail merge process. ● Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive
brand awareness, increase market share, and achieve business objectives. ● Manage and oversee all marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, advertising, public
relations, social media, events, and promotions. ● Collaborate with the leadership team to develop innovative marketing initiatives.
● Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximise return on investment.
● Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the company's marketing strategies remain competitive and innovative.
● Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to marketing activities. ● Investigate awards to enter / sponsor and manage the entry process. ● Strategic follow / unfollow sprees in line with business growth strategy. ● Manage company brand guidelines including training for new starters joining Hoop. ● Being accountable for SEO efforts to enhance the business's visibility through proactive
changes. ● Monthly marketing reports for the Leadership Team including an overview in the managers
meeting. ● Investigate and validate business sponsorship opportunities, e.g Cardiff city football club,
Swansea football club, Business Wales. ● Map industry events for SM campaigns and potential sponsorship opportunities.
Analytics & Reporting: ● Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and
competitive positioning. ● Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using data-driven insights to optimise
marketing activities and drive continuous improvement. ● 6 monthly whole business competitor analysis. ● Represent the marketing team in divisional meetings and produce the monthly marketing
reports on a monthly basis. ● Advise, manage and analyse PPC campaigns as per the business needs including ROI tracking.
Content Creation: ● Developing engaging and accurate content for all social media accounts. ● Advanced use of Adobe / After Effects to enhance content across the whole of the business. ● Ideation and realisation of business wide campaigns and work with the Leadership team on
their divisional ideation including seasonal campaigns. ● Writing engaging and industry-relevant blogs for the website and ensuring adherence to
brand guidelines for blogs posted by other teams. ● Ensuring content accuracy, engagement, visual alignment with brand guidelines, and
reflection of Hoop and relevant business divisions. ● Produce ad hoc commercial documents for the business. e.g Hoop Benefits, Joining Hoop.
Business Development: ● Using relevant market information gained from conversations, networking, administrative
tasks etc and ensuring the right person within Hoop has this information to use for commercial purposes to drive GP.
● Produce ad-hoc commercial / sales documents for the business for client and candidate attraction purposes.
● This role is an extension of the consultant role and as a business, we are all driven to actively contribute to the businesses commercial growth and increasing GP. Our objective is to enable our recruitment partners at all levels to generate higher revenue.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree would be advantageous.
● Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in a senior marketing role, preferably in a fast-paced, consumer-focused industry.
● Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive business results.
● Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights. ● In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels, social media platforms, and marketing
automation tools. ● Demonstrable experience of content creating in a sales environment. ● Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. ● Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. ● Ability to take ownership of a task and use your initiative to drive the results through to
completion. ● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence
and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. ● Proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools.
