- Hoop Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Welsh-Speaking Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join our team in the Pembrokeshire area. This full-time role involves working in Welsh-medium primary schools, providing vital support to children with additional learning needs (ALN) and helping them to achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support in Welsh to children with ALN in Welsh-medium primary school settings.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver one-to-one or small group support in Welsh, ensuring that pupils with ALN are fully included in classroom activities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure they are followed effectively.
- Modify resources and teaching strategies in Welsh to meet the specific needs of each pupil.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all children, regardless of their learning needs, feel supported and valued.
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of children in a Welsh-speaking environment.
- Fluency in Welsh is essential.
- Experience in a school setting, particularly working with children with additional learning needs (ALN).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both children and staff in Welsh.
- A compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach when supporting children.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are highly desirable.
