- Hoop Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team in the Carmarthen area. This role offers the opportunity to work full-time in mainstream primary schools, providing essential support to children with additional learning needs (ALN).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored, one-to-one or small group support to children with ALN in mainstream primary school settings.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure pupils with ALN receive the appropriate support to achieve their educational objectives.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring that these are followed effectively.
- Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet the specific needs of each child.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with children with additional learning needs, is essential.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach when working with children.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are highly desirable.
